On Saturday, January 21, the MCAC Arts and Letters Committee along with the Delta GEMS and Delta Academy hosted a Red Carpet Event for the critically acclaimed movie “Hidden Figures.” This event was also a collaboration with Unity Christian Fellowship Aim High in Life –STEM program for boys.
One hundred sixty-three sorors and guests gathered at the AMC Wheaten Mall 9 Theatre in Wheaton, MD amid the excitement of the incredible untold story of three brilliant African-American women who worked at NASA and helped launch astronaut John Glenn into orbit. The afternoon reflected the spectacular magic of this visionary trio that crossed all genders and race lines to inspire generations to DREAM BIG!
