DESCRIPTION:Dear Partners\, Sponsors\, Friends and Family\,\nThe Fula Women Association of North America (FUWANA) is a Maryland-based NGO. FUWANA aims to support women\, girls\, and youth across West and Central Africa by offering education\, training opportunities\, and financial assistance. FUWANA particularly prioritizes initiatives in education and adult literacy. To learn more about FUWANA\, go to: http://fuwana.org/. \nThe theme of this fundraiser is literacy and learning in elementary schools.\nThis special event presents a unique opportunity for us to come together\, strengthen our partnership\, and support the continued success of our important initiatives.\nWe are supporting elementary students in Africa who live under difficult conditions with a holistic view\, community-centered approach\, providing school supplies\, tutoring\, birth certificates for displaced students\, hygiene education and the creation of school gardens.
