Greetings Sorors and Friends,
Welcome to the official website of the Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter (MCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta! MCAC is dedicated to Sisterhood, Service and Scholarship in service to the community, located just outside of the nation’s capital.
As Chapter President, I take great pleasure in stewarding this 53-year-old community, cultural and civic-based, service institution that is built upon the bedrock of Delta Sigma Theta’s five-point programmatic thrust that includes: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
Strategic engagement, focused programming, mutually beneficial partnerships, and systematic stakeholder feedback are the cornerstones of our service. Together, they strengthen our ability to meet the needs of the residents of Montgomery County, to include those in underserved communities. Our goal is to always put people first. For this next biennium, we aim to increase partner engagement because we believe that we are Better Together, in partnership with like-missioned organizations and individuals like you.
MCAC’s Sisterhood is 310 members strong, and we’re always poised to grow. If you are a Soror looking for a new Delta home, we have a place for you. If you’re a Dear, Diva or Doll, our doors are open to you all, with many opportunities to serve. If you’re a community member interested in learning more about our programs and events – you’ll find a Chapter that is purposed and positioned to thrive.
